- Starting work on the Business Plan for biab
- YAWA practice!
- Recording almost all the guitar for the new EP
- A considerable amount of Rachie time + Meeting Klippaz!

So the Axe Fx Ultra review is finally up:

It took me a long time – 13 hours 53 minutes in fact. But it has already nearly acquired 2000 views so it’s my fastest growing video where views are concerned!

That might be partially due to the fact that…

G66 like my videos!

G66.eu are the company I bought my Axe Fx from. After making the videos, I thought I’d send them to G66 – they proceeded to post a feature on me, boyinaband and YAWA on their website! Score! So the videos are getting considerable airplay from that site now

Bidness as usual

I’ve planned out my business plan now, with an estimated finish date in a fortnight – then I can start looking for funding to push boyinaband to the next level – it’s all very exciting! I never thought I’d be making a successful business so quickly after finishing university!

I’ve planned the location for the most part this week – deciding what I’d need in a business premises. I can’t wait to be in there setting it all up! I’d make videos of it for sure

YAWAtime

It was all about the planning this week – we’re sorting out our Physical Press Pack and New EP as an order of priority. We’ve settled on a name for the EP – actually a suggestion from a fan… but I’ll keep that under wraps for now

So yeah, by next week Jamie is sorting us out with Quotes for the Press Pack, Kieran and I are recording the guitar and vocals for the EP and Zak is starting work on booking us some more gigs! Kieran and I are ahead of the game a bit now though…

EP <3 Axe

Thanks to the Axe Fx making everything a zillion times quicker, easier and better sounding, the guitar was laid down almost in it’s entirety last night. Just Epidemic to go I believe (We’re re-recording the old versions of some songs for the new EP) – then we’ve got lyrics and vocals to go on a couple of the newer songs.

Social life update!

Not only did I get to spend a good few days with Rachie, during which time I kicked her ass at singstar (I’m getting better at holding a tune now, yay!), had a mini-rave in her room with her friends and some of the 500 glowsticks I got her for christmas and went out to spoons for a meal, but during said meal we inducted a new friend to the group – Klippaz!

Good ol’ Klippaz, he’s so-named for his apparent and clearly non-fictional interest in the field of gardening. I’m sure we’ll be hearing more from him and his exciting exploits – including when after the meal we had his car broke down and quite possibly the chavviest ever AA employee came to save the day, positively screeching round the corner, pulling up a centimeter from the car, getting out with a gold chain round his neck, a nike tracksuit and a half-smoked cigarette, saying “Pop yer bonnet mate” and proceeding to fix the car, then drive off in a cloud of dust, narrowly missing a bollard by less than the breadth of his gold chain (which I suppose is actually quite a reasonable distance)

I did a lot of the stuff I planned to do last week, barring the 7 day song – that’s going to be pushed back ’til next month so I can finish this business plan (since that’ll result in more videos in the long run when I get funding!)

So it’s time to get to work in earnest on this Business Plan now it’s all actually planned out – so that’ll entail…

- Sorting the Premises, legal matters, competitors, marketing, sales, start up costs and funding requirements for the biab business plan
- Making a biab video blog for January 09
- Finish the guitar and vocals for the YAWA EP
- Recording some Live Drums for a change – possibly with Zak’s new double bass pedal if he gets it!
- Not entirely forgetting about my friends (some sort of movie night is in order methinks – any suggestions for a good movie?)
